You are most welcome to contact us to arrange a home visit for us to appraise items that you are considering selling, we do not charge for this service.
If you require a collection from home or other premises prior to the auction, this can be arranged for a fee of £20 per hour.
Young's will lot up, handle and display items with care and attention.
Items will remain the responsibility of the seller up until the point where they are sold. Any unsold items will still remain the seller’s responsibility until returned to/collected by them.
As a seller, the lotting fee will be £3.50 per lot sold/unsold plus 10% of the hammer price, no VAT **.
A photography and internet marketing fee of £4.00 will apply to each lot in online live-bidding sales (through the-saleroom.com).

We welcome private and trade buyers alike.
Lots purchased via the-saleroom.com auction service will be subject to an additional 3% commission charge on the hammer price.
The commission charged will be £3 per lot plus 15% of hammer price, no VAT**.
Payment is in cash at the conclusion of the auction, earlier if the item can be removed without interrupting the auction. Payment by cheque is acceptable for lots over £400, however the item remains with the auction until the cheque has cleared. Bank Transfer is the preferred payment method for buyers unable to attend the auction in person.
These are the only payment methods we currently accept.
**VAT is not applicable on the current level of business turnover.
