The Potala Palace, Lhasa, Tibet, photographed in 1904 during Colonel Younghusband's Expedition, 49 x 61cm. (By repute: produced from a series of around 50 photographic plates found in the loft of Colonel Younghusband's former home in Hampstead by Kesang Tenduf-La, the Great Grandson of the Senior High Lama who granted Younghusband the permission to lead an expedition to photograph important locations in Tibet. Reputedly one of two copies of this photograph, given as a gift to the vendor by Tenduf-La, with a signed letter)
