Late 18th Century Spode porcelain oval teapot with cover, with a band of gilt lattice decoration on a pale red foliate effect ground, rare impressed “S” mark to foot rim, W.25.5cm, (cover a/f), and a collection of Regency Spode tea wares, comprising teapot, pattern number 2638, W.25.5cm; sucrier, richly decorated with painted and gilt floral decoration, 2777, W.15cm, (inside of cover chipped); Gilt sucrier, 471; pot pourri base with floral decoration on a blue and gilt scale ground, 1166, (lacking cover); jug and 2 matching plates, 2234; 2 other jugs, H.13.5cm the tallest; and another plate. (11). (Note: The impressed “S” mark is given as listing 3648a in Godden’s Encyclopedia of British Pottery and Porcelain Marks, which classes it as very rare on early porcelain c.1784-1805)
