H.R.H. Mary, Princess Royal and Countess of Harewood (1897-1965, only daughter of King George V and Queen Mary) - Various letters from the 1940s addressed to her son Gerald Lascelles: dated July 9th 1941 including 'I heard both the ""Warning"" and ""All Clear"" during the night but hope you slept through the night' and later in the letter 'Went to Harrods this morning and ordered bunch of black grapes to be sent to you on Sat 12th, Tuesday 15th and Sat 19th...'; dated February 1941 'Delighted you have joined the mobile fire party and can make yourself useful...'; dated May 10th 1940 on Buckingham Palace headed paper mentions various inspections of ATS etc and lunching with officers; and others.
